Zakynthos

Zakynthos is located in the east of the island of the same name, directly at the foot of the Bochali hill, and is also the capital of Zakynthos. The island's main port is also located here.

Zakynthos is a real town, with everything that entails. There are numerous shops, including souvenir stores and shops for locals. There are also numerous taverns serving traditional cuisine and fast food. These are mainly located along the beach promenade, at the market square, and at Solomos Square.

Zakynthos is easy to reach, whether by car, quad bike, moped, or similar. There are also bus connections to all major tourist resorts such as Kalamaki, Laganas, Limni Keri, Tsilivi, Argassi, etc. There is a large, free parking lot at the port.

Zakynthos has a narrow, long sandy beach that begins north of the port. This is primarily used by locals, so it's recommended to drive a little further towards Krionerioi, where there is also a small, free parking lot.

Zakynthos is the perfect place for travelers who are particularly interested in the island's culture. There are several churches, museums, and tombs from the Venetian period to visit. The town offers a very good infrastructure with hotels and taverns.
