In the east of Zakynthos, just south of the island's capital, lies the small but modern town of Argassi. It consists of a main road running parallel to the beach. From the main road, several paved roads lead to the beach and in the other direction, along which the accommodations are located.
Argassi is easy to reach, whether by car, quad bike, moped, or similar. There are also bus services connecting Argassi to the capital of Zakynthos and from there to all other major tourist destinations on the island. Parking is available along the streets.
The main road is home to numerous shops, including supermarkets, bakeries, souvenir shops, clothing stores, and jewelry stores. There are also numerous taverns serving traditional cuisine and fast food.
Near Argassi, you can visit the remains of old Venetian churches, houses, and aqueducts. The remains of an old Venetian bridge can also be seen along the sandy beach.
